Job Description	First Air, The Airline of the North, has been in operation for over 60 years and provides a combination of passenger and cargo air transportation services on a scheduled and charter basis. First Air’s scheduled service connects 25 remote, northern Arctic communities in Nunavut, Northwest Territories and the Yukon with southern hubs in Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa and Montreal. Our fleet consists of the following: L382 Hercules, HS748, ATR42, B737 and B727. We currently have one (1) position open for a Flight Dispatcher in our Kanata, Ontario location. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications: • Transport Canada Flight Dispatcher’s Certificate (Parts 1 & 2) • Extensive knowledge of meteorology • Valid radiotelephone operator’s certificate • Knowledge of computer reservation system • Knowledge and understanding of Canadian aviation regulations • Previous experience preferred • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to obtain and retain a Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Interested candidates must be able to perform, but not be limited to, the following duties and responsibilities: • Crew briefing • Weather watch • Operational control • Flight planning • Flight watch • Other duties as assigned
