FLIR acquires ICx Technologies
Oct. 5, 2010, Portland, Ore. - FLIR Systems, Inc. announced today that it has successfully completed its previously announced acquisition of ICx Technologies, Inc. for $7.55 per share, representing an aggregate purchase price of $268 million, or an enterprise value of $232 million including ICx’s closing cash balance.


WestJet reports Sept. load factor of 75.5 per cent
Oct. 5, 2010, Calgary – WestJet has announced September 2010 traffic results with a load factor of 75.5 per cent. Revenue passenger miles (RPMs), or traffic, increased 8.8 per cent year over year. Capacity, measured in available seat miles (ASMs), grew 11.9 per cent over the same period.


Air Canada to commence Toronto City flights

Discovery Air announces new operation
Oct. 4, 2010, Yellowknife - Discovery Air Inc. is pleased to announce the commencement of operations of its newest subsidiary, Discovery Air Technical Services Inc. (DATS). Established to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services from its facility at Quebec City's Jean Lesage International Airport, DATS received its Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) Certificate from Transport Canada in late August, and was recently awarded its first contract to assist with overhaul work on behalf of a European ERJ 145 operator.
