Bombardier to discuss optimized solutions at Airex
Sept. 30, 2010, Toronto - Bombardier Commercial Aircraft will highlight its optimized solutions for Turkey's mainline and regional airlines during Airex 2010 - 8th International Civil Aviation and Airports Exhibition. The event takes place in Istanbul, Turkey from September 30 to October 3, 2010.

IATA urges new global framework on environment
Sept. 29, 2010, Montreal - The International Air Transport Association (IATA) urged the governments of the world to reach an agreement on a global framework to manage international aviation’s emissions at the 37th Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).


Bombardier adds Utah facility to service network
Sept. 29, 2010, Montreal - Bombardier Aerospace today announced that it has extended its long-standing service agreement with Duncan Aviation with the addition of Duncan's newest maintenance facility in Provo, Utah, to Bombardier's growing network of Authorized Service Centres (ASFs) and aircraft-on-ground (AOG) Line Maintenance Facilities (LMFs) for Learjet, Challenger and Global business aircraft in the U.S. This is the third Duncan-operated facility to join Bombardier's service network.


IATA reports slower growth in August
Sept. 29, 2010, Montreal - The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced international scheduled traffic results for August indicating year-on-year increases of a 6.4 per cent for passenger and 19.6 per cent for cargo.


TSB applauds watchlist progress, sets ambitious target
Sept. 29, 2010, Gatineau, Que. - Citing "encouraging progress," the Transportation Safety Board of Canada announced today an ambitious public target for uptake of its safety watchlist recommendations.

CAE wins new defense contracts
Sept. 29, 2010, Montreal - CAE today announced it has won defence contracts valued at more than C$75 million. Contracts include upgrading visual and display systems at the German Army Aviation School, renewing a long-term CF-18 systems engineering services agreement for the Canadian Forces, upgrading C-130J simulators for the U.K. Royal Air Force and upgrading a C-130H simulator for an undisclosed North African defence customer.


A new era for aviation safety
Sept. 28, 2010, Montreal – Four international bodies have signed an agreement aimed at improving aviation safety.
