Air Canada confirms incident
Jan. 10, 2008, Montreal- Air Canada confirms its flight AC190, en
route to Toronto from Victoria, made an emergency landing at Calgary today.
    
The aircraft landed without incident at approximately 08:30 MT
(10:30:00 ET)
    
While Air Canada can confirm that there were some injuries requiring
hospitalization, an exact number is not available at this time.
    
The preliminary passenger list indicates the Airbus A319 was carrying
83 passengers and five crew members, although this is subject to confirmation.
    
Air Canada teams have met the passengers and further details will be
provided through additional statements as soon as possible.
    
No further details are available at this time, however Air Canada will
continue to issue regular updates as information becomes known.
