Aircraft Spruce offers breakthrough in headset technology
lightspeed_zuluJan. 10, 2008, Corona, CA – The new Lightspeed Zulu Headsets are now available through Aircraft Spruce & Specialty. Incorporating magnesium in place of plastic ear cups, the new Zulu headsets are extremely durable, and weigh in at only 13 ounces. The magnesium is ten times more effective than plastic in reflecting cockpit noise.

The Zulu headband features a very thin, flexible spring steel that provides an excellent fit with 40 percent less side, or “clamping”, pressure. Soft, smooth leather surrounds the extra wide ear seals that are filled with temperature sensitive foam which are half the thickness of other pads. The magnesium ear cups are significantly smaller in profile than other headsets. Four types of composite plastics have been incorporated to dampen noise within the headsets, providing an optimal quiet experience.

Bluetooth technology, built into the headsets, allows cell phone or MP3 players to be connected wirelessly. The Zulu headset, which sells for $850, looks different, fits different, sounds different and provides long term usage without that “crushing” sensation that typically develops after an hour of flying with a headset.

Zulu headsets by Lightspeed can be ordered online at www.AircraftSpruce.com or by calling 866.4SPRUCE; overseas call 1.951. 372.9555.
