Aircelle to supply complete engine nacelle package for Learjet 85
July 7, 2008, Plaisir, France, Montréal, – Aircelle has been named the engine nacelle supplier for the new Learjet 85* business jet, providing a key win for Aircelle and expanding the company's lead position in the business aviation segment.

Under the terms of its contract with Bombardier Aerospace, Aircelle will design, produce, supply and support the complete nacelle package for the Learjet 85’s two Pratt & Whitney PW307B turbofan engines, which includes Aircelle’s proven PERT® two-door thrust reverser system, air inlet, fan cowl doors, associated equipment, and the full nacelle integration.

“This is a win that positions Aircelle as an important supplier for Learjet. We are glad to be associated with the growth of the Bombardier product line on such an advanced, new generation product,” said Jean-Pierre Cojan, Aircelle’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

The new nacelle system will benefit from Aircelle’s extensive experience. Its PERT thrust reverser configuration is similar to the Aircelle design already used on the Challenger 300* business jet.
