Jazz announces the resignation of senior vice president and COO Bill Bredt
July 15, 2008, Halifax – Jazz Air LP ("Jazz") has announced the resignation of senior vice president and chief operating officer William (Bill) Bredt effective Aug. 10, 2008.

Bredt was appointed senior vice president and chief operating officer at Jazz on Aug. 1, 2004, with the overall responsibility for Flight Operations, Inflight, Maintenance and Engineering, Airports and Systems Operations Control. Prior to joining Jazz, Bredt had spent 33 years at Air Canada in various senior roles. Bredt will be returning to Air Canada as their new executive vice president and chief operating officer.

"Under Bill's leadership Jazz has grown significantly, and his operational expertise has contributed to our steady improvement in operational performance," said Joseph Randell, president and chief executive officer, Jazz. "While we are disappointed to see Bill leave our organization, we are encouraged that our business relationship with Air Canada will be further strengthened as a result of his in-depth knowledge of Jazz and our regional operations. We wish him continued success and thank him most sincerely for his hard work and dedication to making Jazz one of the best regional airlines in the world."

Meanwhile, Air Canada says they are excited to see Bill Bredt back on board as executive vice president and chief operating officer. "I am very pleased to welcome Bill back to Air Canada to assume this key role in overseeing the airline's operations," said Montie Brewer, president and chief executive officer. "Bill's wealth of airline experience and solid leadership skills will further strengthen our management team as we strive to move the airline forward in this challenging environment. He has a proven track record and I look forward to his contribution in our drive towards operational and service excellence at the airline."

Bredt will be based at the airline's Montreal headquarters, effective Aug. 11, 2008. He replaces Rob Reid, who has recently retired from the company.
