Bob Henderson receives David Charles Abramson Memorial Flight Instructor Safety Award

The 2008 recipient of the David Charles Abramson Memorial Flight Instructor Safety Award, is Robert “Bob” Henderson, Director of Flight Operations & Chief Flight Instructor of Moncton Flight College.

He was presented with the trophy, by Jane & Rikki Abramson, the founders, at ATAC’S AGM & Convention, in Calgary this past November. Having five hundred full time students on four different programs; over the last several years, he has worked with three different government aviation agencies, Transport Canada, Civil Aviation Authority of China and Joint Aviation Authority Training from Europe. A strong work ethic, a methodical individual, a great mentor, make up the qualities of this exceptional flight instructor.  He demonstrates time and again a dedication that is beyond compare.  
The value of this Award has enabled an outstanding list of Flight Instructors to assist their organizations to be Industry Leaders as the impressive list of past recipients will attest.

2007, John Robertson, CFI & Professor of Human Factors & Safety Systems, School of Aviation & Flight Technology, Seneca College, Ontario;  2006 Simon Garrett, Operations Manager & CFI at Rockcliffe Flying Club & Airport Manager for the Ottawa/Rockcliffe Airport;  2005 Clark Duimel, Director of Flight Operations & CFI of Pacific Flying Club  2004 Graham Sheppard, Safety Officer, Class 1 Instructor, Class 1 Aerobatic Instructor, Coordinator of the SMS of Moncton Flying College  2003 Aaron Speer,Class 1 Instructor, Class 1 Aerobatic Instructor, Degree in Aerospace Engineering, awarded with Distinction of Ottawa Aviation Services.

To preserve the historical record of the Award the recipient’s name is engraved on the trophy and entered in the official logbook, which are both on permanent display at the Canada Aviation Museum, Ottawa.”
