Make-A-Wish Foundation(R) of Canada, and WestJet today announced a new
philanthropic partnership that will provide donated flights for the
granting of travel wish requests.

Through a new community investment program entitled WestJet Cares for Kids, WestJet will donate 600 flights for Make-A-Wish Foundation(R) of Canada to use when granting travel wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
"More than 50 percent of the wishes granted by Make-A-Wish Foundation(R) of Canada in 2006 were travel wishes," says Dave Stinton, President of Make-A-Wish Foundation(R) of Canada. "This contribution from WestJet will have a profound impact on our wish granting activities in future both in terms of the number of wishes we will be able to grant, and the speed with which we will be able to fulfil all such requests. Now, when a child makes a wish to swim with dolphins or to have lunch with Cinderella at Walt Disney World(R) Resort, we know they will be traveling under the care of WestJet. We are thrilled, honoured and grateful to be partnering with WestJet as our airline of choice."
