The “Amazon” stair climber, which is specifically design for the aviation industry, finally arrives in North America to aid in getting passengers of reduced mobility on and off of aircraft.
With it’s advanced technology it has the ability to move up and down aircraft stairs without the need for manual lifting and it does it safely, quickly and comfortably for all concerned.
It practically eliminates the chances of injury to staff and passengers when accessing aircraft via stairs.
This unique device goes beyond regular mobile lifts. It can be kept indoors close to the gate thus allowing for easy access or it can be kept on board. It weighs in at only 34 kg (74.8 lbs) and has a carrying capacity of 160 kg (352 lbs). With its two IATA approved for in-flight batteries it can climb as many as 300 steps without the need for recharging and with only a 14.5-inch width it easily fits down the isle of just about any aircraft thereby allowing crew to get the passengers to or from their seats without additional equipment or strain.
