On June 10, 2009, the members of a U.K. group called "Plane Stupid" chained themselves to a business jet to grab attention for their cause. Their cause? Shutting down aviation. In the grand tradition of the Luddites, they are sadly missing the big picture.

Good thing they didn't try this at Zurich Kloten airport where security patrols are conducted in heavily armed APC's. Hopefully this form of protest will transform into meaningful discussion rather than sensless security breaches that could be construed as hostile acts.
