Porter Airlines cheers touchdown in Boston

Third U.S. destination for Canadian carrier

Sept. 14, 2009, Toronto – Porter Airlines debuts its third U.S. destination with three daily roundtrip flights between Boston Logan International Airport and Toronto City Centre Airport (TCCA).  Porter’s entrance into the New England region has been met with great enthusiasm from both business and leisure travellers.

“Porter’s arrival at Logan today represents another milestone for our airline and another option for passengers travelling through Boston,” said Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines. “We’re proud of Porter’s developing network and recognize the great synergy between New England and the Canadian markets we serve.”

The inaugural flight touched down this morning in Boston. Political representatives, tourism officials and business leaders joined Porter to commemorate the occasion at a welcome celebration held at Boston Logan International Airport.

Connecting flights to other Porter destinations, including Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City and Thunder Bay are also available.

Porter is committed to reintroducing convenience, speed and seamless service to air travel. From Porter’s downtown location to its upscale amenities and refreshing approach to customer service, the airline is changing the way people fly. Passengers will fly refined with complimentary service, including free in-flight wine, beer and premium snacks, all served aboard comfortable, modern aircraft. With leather seating, extended legroom and a 667 km/h cruising speed, Porter’s Bombardier Q400 fleet sets new standards for comfort, fuel efficiency and low emissions.
