Sept. 23, 2009 , Springfield, Ill– StandardAero has completed its first aftermarket installation of Aviation Partners Inc.'s state-of-the-art, high-mach blended winglets on a Falcon 2000 large-cabin business jet at their facility in Springfield, Ill.

“Completing the first Falcon 2000 with aftermarket API winglets is an exciting first for StandardAero,” said StandardAero Senior Vice President for Business Aviation, Scott Taylor. He added: “We anticipate this will be the first of many winglet installations we will complete for Falcon 2000 operators. One of the largest authorized service centers for Dassault Falcon, the API winglet program extends our portfolio of available services for the Falcon family of aircraft. As a Honeywell-authorized service center for TFE and CFE engines, as well as having completion, paint and modifications capability, we are able to provide Falcon 2000 operators a complete in-service solution.”

StandardAero operates four primary shops across the United States, including Augusta, Ga., Springfield, Ill., Houston, Texas, and Los Angeles, Ca., with capabilities in Omaha, Neb. And Little Rock, Ark.; in addition to mobile service teams based in Long Island, NY, Boca Raton, Fla., Houston, Texas,  Denver, Co., Chicago, Ill. and Van Nuys, Ca.  Each of StandardAero’s four main business aviation facilities are Dassault Falcon authorized service centers.

API has thus far seen a significant interest from Falcon 2000 operators for the new winglets, which add up to 260 nm in range, reduced emissions and enhanced resale value.  The winglets are also production standard on the new Falcon 2000LX.
