CanJet introduces Deer Lake-Toronto non-stop and adds Halifax-St. John's morning flight

HALIFAX, Feb. 2 /CNW/ - Doug Newson, Director, Marketing Sales, announced today that CanJet, Canada's Low-Fare Airline, will introduce daily non-stop Boeing 737 jet service between Deer Lake Toronto effective
Monday, June 26th. He also confirmed CanJet will launch a new 8:00 a.m. Halifax-St. John's morning departure as well as a new 8:00 a.m. St. John's- Halifax morning departure effective June 5th. He stated, "Over the past three summers, there has been a heavy demand at Deer Lake for seats to and from Toronto and this new daily non-stop service will not only address that demand but will also provide customers in western, central, southwest and northern Newfoundland connections to Calgary and New York LaGuardia."

Jamie Schwartz, Airport Manager, Deer Lake Regional Airport, was delighted with the news from CanJet. He said, "We are very excited to add a daily Deer Lake-Toronto non-stop service during the busy summer tourist season which will provide the travelling public with another timely and convenient flight option from CanJet which is both efficient and affordable."

Mr. Newson went on to say, "I am also very pleased to announce that CanJet will be operating a new 8:00 a.m. St. John's-Halifax departure plus a new 8:00 a.m. Halifax-St. John's non-stop flight effective June 5th. This initiative will allow our St. John's customers to begin their journey west at a later morning departure time while offering our Halifax customers an earlier start to their day and a new flight option to Newfoundland's capital city. He further stated, "We consistently talk to our customers and industry partners
throughout Newfoundland regarding CanJet's product offering and I am confident they will share our enthusiasm about the enhancements we have announced today."
