Webster winner receives flight from vintage wings
Dec. 9, 2009 – Cory Raby, Webster winner for 2009 experienced a tremendous thrill when he was offered a flight on a Harvard Mk IV piloted by on other than Michael Potter himself. Cory was offered the flight at the request of the Webster Administrator, Amy Foy.  Vintage Wings of Gatineau, Quebec has been a strong supporter of Webster and the opportunity for the winner to take a flight in a heritage type aircraft such as this was an experience not to be missed.

Cory is a current aviation diploma student with Algonquin College in Ottawa who will soon be finishing his initial flight instructor rating and launching off into a professional career.  On his flight with Mr. Potter, which took place in excellent conditions on the morning of Saturday morning of November 21st, he had the chance to take the controls for a while and fly this marvelous machine through some basic and advanced manoeuvres.

The Webster Team would like to thank Michael Potter and Vintage Wings for this gracious gift. Vintage Wings is a fabulous flying museum of WW2 and antique aircraft which relies heavily on donations to support its endeavours to “keep them flying”, so their donation in turn to Webster of a costly flight in one of their priceless aircraft is truly appreciated.
