Chahram Bolouri has been named president and CEO of Air Canada
Technical Services.
MONTREAL (CP) _ Chahram Bolouri has been named president and CEO of Air Canada Technical Services, the airline's maintenance and repair wing, as it prepares to be spun off into a separate company.
The former president of global operations at Nortel Networks Corp. will take the position Jan. 30.
"His expertise and background will provide ACTS with the strategic direction and leadership required to maximize the value of this important ACE subsidiary by broadening its customer base, while improving profitability,'' Robert Milton, president and CEO of Air Canada parent ACE Aviation Holdings Inc., said in a release.
Bolouri will be responsible for growing ACTS into a stand-alone company with an emphasis on third-party revenues.
Bolouri replaces Bill Zoeller who is retiring after 31 years with Air Canada.
