Emirates orders another 32 A380s
June 8, 2010, Berlin, Germany – Emirates says it has ordered another 32 A380 superjumbo jets from European planemaker Airbus, bringing its total on order to 90.

The Dubai-based airline said the new order signed Tuesday has a list price of US$11.5 billion. It said the planes would be delivered by 2017.

Emirates received its first A380 in July 2008 and now has 10 of the planes. It already had 58 on order.

Airbus CEO Tom Enders says ``this is the single largest 380 order ever.'' He described the order as a ``sign of confidence in the 380 and in Airbus.''
