July 9, 2010, Halifax - Jazz Air announced today that its pilots, represented by the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), have ratified a tentative agreement which was reached on June 25, 2010. The agreement covers a 6-year period expiring June 30, 2015.
ALPA represents approximately 1500 Pilots employed at Jazz.
"I sincerely thank our employees and representatives from ALPA for their hard work and professionalism to reach this new collective agreement," said Joseph D. Randell, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jazz. "The term of the agreement provides the stability we require to continue to grow and diversify our business."
Jazz's Dispatchers ratified their collective agreement on March 27, 2010.
Jazz's Technical Services (Maintenance and Engineering) division ratified its agreement on September 12, 2009 and the airline's Customer Services and Aircraft Services divisions ratified their agreement on December 16, 2009. Both groups are represented by the Canadian Auto Workers (CAW).
Jazz's 760 flight attendants (represented by the Canadian Flight Attendant Union) reached a tentative agreement on June 30, 2010 that is subject to a ratification vote by union members.
Negotiations with Jazz's 33 crew schedulers (represented by the CAW) will recommence in mid July. |
