Joanie Williams

Joanie Williams

Aug.18, 2010, Ottawa - Ottawa Aviation Services (OAS) announced on Thursday that aviation industry veteran Joan Williams has been appointed Chair of the Board of Ottawa Aviation Services.

Williams has almost thirty years of experience in the flight training industry. She has served as Manager of Flight Operations, Chief Flying Instructor and Manager of Business Development for a large Canadian flight school. She is a member of the Air Transport Association of Canada (“ATAC”) Board of Directors, Chair of the ATAC Flight Training Committee, and a member of the International Association of Flight Training Professionals.

“I greatly look forward to working with OAS, a company that has created a vision of excellence and professionalism in flight training,” said Joan Williams. “OAS has identified a strategy for translating its vision into reality. It is creating the step-by-step action plan. And it is making the financial and resource commitments necessary to turn vision into reality.
Williams added, “I anticipate an exciting and rewarding time working with OAS as they put more building blocks in place to achieve their vision of excellence.”

"The board of directors of OAS is very pleased that Joan has accepted the position of Chair and agreed to take a leadership role in shaping the strategic direction for the flight training unit" said Cedric Paillard, Director and Co-Owner of Ottawa Aviation Services. “Joan’s extensive flight training and business background will prove invaluable as OAS continues to expand its leading aviation service offerings.”
