NAV CANADA reports July traffic figures
Written by Market Wire
Aug. 22, 2011 – Ottawa, Ont. - NAV CANADA has announced its traffic figures for the month of July 2011 as measured in weighted charging units for en-route, terminal and oceanic air navigation services, in comparison to the last fiscal year.

The traffic in July 2011 increased by an average of 3.8 per cent compared to the same month in 2010.

Fiscal year-to-date traffic was 4.6 per cent higher than in fiscal year 2010. NAV CANADA's fiscal year runs from September 1 to August 31.

Weighted charging units represent a traffic measure that reflects the number of flights, aircraft size and distance flown in Canadian airspace.

The information contained in this news release is also available in graph form.

NAV CANADA, the country's civil air navigation services provider, is a private sector, non-share capital corporation financed through publicly-traded debt.
