The FFS achieved Interim Level C qualification as per FFA and EASA rules, the FTD achieved FAA Level 6 and EASA level 2 qualification.

Airbus is using the A350 XWB training suite, located at the Airbus Training Centre in Toulouse, France, to deliver all initial training to customers who will take delivery of the A350 XWB aircraft.

"We were honoured that Airbus selected us once again as a partner in their aircraft program and we are proud to have developed and qualified the world's first A350 XWB simulator ahead of the entry-into service of the aircraft," said Nick Leontidis, CAE's Group President, Civil Simulation and Training. "We have a long history of developing the first simulators for the majority of new commercial airliners, including the Airbus A380 and now the A350 XWB. Achieving the Level C qualification for the first A350 XWB simulator marks another important milestone for the A350 XWB program and we join Airbus customers in looking forward to its entry into service."
