Act now to support CBAA’s advocacy push

Sept. 22, 2011, Ottawa - The CBAA is calling on members to get involved in its new Business Aviation Works campaign and help us change how Transport Canada manages business aviation.

September 22, 2011  By Carey Fredericks

The situation is critical – current service levels are leaving planes
grounded and the move to a 704 (commercial) type regulatory system will
force us into the most onerous governance system in the world.  The
result?  Businesses will shut down and jobs will be lost.

We can reverse this with a collective and clear voice that is heard in every community.

Your leadership and involvement is critical.  We are asking you to write
to your MP with your own story and demonstrate why business aviation
issues should matter to everyone – and how Transport Canada is
jeopardizing the jobs and economic opportunity that our sector, and your
business in particular, has created.

The CBAA has prepared all the tools you need, at
http://www.cbaa-acaa.ca/en/advocacy/business-aviation-works/toolkit.
There you will find a template letter targeting MPs that you can
customize and send on your company’s letterhead; a campaign FAQ, a
business aviation fact sheet, and much more.  We also have dedicated
internal resources to support your efforts.  Contact
getinvolved@cbaa.cafor further assistance.

The voice of every member of CBAA counts.  We have to drive the agenda. It is our time, and our obligation, to lead.
