Air Georgian honoured as a top Canadian employer: survey

March 11, 2015, Toronto - Air Georgian has been recognized as one of “Canada’s Top Small and Medium Employers” for 2015 as per the annual employer survey conducted by Mediacorp Canada Inc.

In selecting Air Georgian, Mediacorp highlighted the familial work environment and close-knit culture, the ongoing investment in employees through training and development, employee recognition events, the company’s Loss of License Insurance program as well as their community involvement.

Air Georgian was evaluated against eight key areas: (1) Physical Workplace; (2) Work Atmosphere & Social; (3) Health, Financial & Family Benefits; (4) Vacation & Time Off; (5) Employee Communications; (6) Performance Management; (7) Training & Skills Development; and (8) Community Involvement. The employers chosen this year are leaders in their industry in attracting and retaining quality employees.

To develop this year’s list, over 75,000 employers across Canada were examined. Employers were asked to complete an extensive application process that included a detailed review of their operations and HR practices, comparing them to others in their industry and region. This year’s list includes large and small employers from a range of industries, offering varying benefits and working conditions.
