Nov. 30, 2010, Redhill, U.K. – Air Partner has ventured into the
expanding market of pre-owned commercial aircraft sales with the launch
of its aviation ‘matchmaking’ service, bringing buyers and sellers
together.

The introduction service is seen as an obvious and natural progression of its success in recent years at organising ACMI contracts and long-term leasing arrangements. As a result of the close links the company has established with airlines worldwide it is now utilising the opportunities that these relationships provide.

Air Partner is currently working with a European legacy carrier to place three 180-seat Airbus A320-200s and with another operator who is selling a 37-seat Embraer 135 regional jet. Additionally, the company is searching the market for 11 aircraft, including A330s and Boeing 737, 767 and 777 jets, on behalf of four airlines, two of which are flag carriers.

“We are playing a pivotal role in helping with the placement of aircraft worldwide,” said Pietro Perrotta, an Air Partner senior sub-charter and leasing specialist. “Our position in the commercial jet leasing and charter market means that we are especially well placed to undertake this role. Having established initial airline-to-airline interest, we are able to introduce interested purchasers to aircraft lessors or financial agencies arranging sales.”

Enquiries for sales have now reached such a level that the company has put together a dedicated team to work on the requests and pro-actively seek buyers.
