The Honourable Lawrence Cannon, announced the appointment of Mr. J. Mark MacKeigan to the Canadian Transportation Agency.

The Honourable Lawrence Cannon, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, today announced the appointment of Mr. J. Mark MacKeigan to the Canadian Transportation Agency. "I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. MacKeigan," said Minister Cannon. "His considerable experience in transportation law will be of great value to the agency."

Mr. MacKeigan holds a master of laws from McGill University's Institute of Air and Space Law, a juris doctor from the University of Toronto, and a bachelor of arts with highest honours in political science from Carleton
University. Since 2001, he has served as senior legal counsel for the International Air Transport Association. He began his legal career in 1991, working for private law firms until 1996, when he joined the Canadian
Transportation Agency as counsel. That same year he became legal counsel for Nav Canada until his departure in 2000. Mr. MacKeigan is a member of the Ontario Bar and the New York Bar. Mr. MacKeigan has been appointed member of the Canadian Transportation Agency for a period of four years.

and essential regulation.
