May 15, 2012, Geneva, Sui. - StandardAero announced today that Associated Air Center (AAC), its VVIP completions center in Dallas, Texas, has been awarded the completion contract for an Airbus A330-200 series, wide-body aircraft from a prominent customer who has requested to remain anonymous.

The aircraft is green and represents AAC’s initial foray into the completion work for Airbus, wide-body aircraft. The contract was signed late March with estimated aircraft delivery date of mid-May, 2012.

While AAC has done many wide-body Boeing 747 and 767’s, today’s announcement is the first Airbus wide-body. StandardAero anticipates this to be the first of many more aircraft reflecting the company’s re-emergence into the wide-body VVIP market, as given the company’s excellent track record with Boeing, they anticipate this reputation to carryover into this category of Airbus aircraft, as well.

The A330-200 interior will reflect full cabin (nose-to-tail) customizations equipped with multi-region Sat-TV, high speed data, high definition (i.e. digital) In-Flight Entertainment (IFE), a comprehensive sound insulation package, a stand-up shower, etc. All amenities are furnished using the finest materials from AAC’s global supply chain team.

In the last 25 years, AAC has performed 83 VIP/HOS airliner cabin size completions representing the most airliner cabin size completions in the highly customized VVIP completions industry.
