ATAC hires communications and marketing VP

July 16, 2010, Ottawa - The President and CEO of the Air Transport Association of Canada (ATAC), John McKenna, is pleased to announce that ATAC has hired Cedric Paillard as its VP, Communications and Marketing.

"I am very pleased that Cedric has agreed to join ATAC’s management team," declared Mr. McKenna. “Cedric’s marketing and communications experience; pilot training and passion for the aviation industry will serve ATAC well in reinforcing ATAC initiatives and increasing communications with our members first and foremost but also with industry stakeholders at large. I strongly believe that his communications and marketing background, in addition to his professional aviation experience will help ATAC better serve its members.”

“The help and leadership we received from ATAC staff and ATAC members were key to us at Ottawa Aviation Services”, said Mr. Paillard. “This is why I decided to join the ATAC staff. It is a strong group of individuals who deserve to be known for their leadership and recognized for the help they provide.

Mr. Paillard has more than 15 years experience in marketing positions in high technology and aviation companies. Since 1999, Cedric Paillard has served as Product Marketing Manager, Director and Vice President, Communications, Marketing and Business Development for small to large high tech companies in Ottawa.

Demonstrating his passion for aviation, Mr. Paillard also became co-owner and serves on the Board of Directors of Ottawa Aviation Services (“OAS”), a flight training and aircraft maintenance commercial operation based in Ottawa. Cedric is an accomplished pilot with a commercial pilot license with multi-engine, instrument and float plane ratings.
