April 13, 2009, Ottawa – Calian Technologies Ltd. has received a multi-year contract to provide professional, technical, and administrative support to the Royal Australian Air Force.
The base contract is worth $6 million over five years but could be worth over $8 million if all options are exercised.
The contract could also be extended by a further five years, for a total of $18 million over the 10-year period, Calian said Monday.
Calian will provide financial and administrative support, logistical analysis and systems engineering support for both the existing RAAF FA-18 as well as the new FA-18 Super Hornet procurement.
The company’s business and technology services division provides highly skilled personnel to clients, while its system engineering division plans, designs and implements solutions for many space agencies.
In addition to the Australian contract, Calian’s system engineering division has been awarded a 15-year contract to support a customer’s next-generation mobile satellite program.
Calian shares closed Monday at $14.35, up 20 cents.
