Avianor is acting as the "turn-key provider" managing the program and responsible for the engineering, certification and installation of this extensive upgrade. The work is being performed at Avianor's MRO facility located in Mirabel, Que.

"The Avianor team has worked very hard over the past seven months to realize a successful introduction of the first modified aircraft. The "first off" is always the most difficult aircraft as it serves as a validation of the design and all the systems need to mesh perfectly. We are very proud of this achievement and the inclusive manner in which the project is being executed. Gulf Air worked hand in hand with us and it was this cooperation that allowed us to fulfill their commitment to delivering the best in class product while best managing expectations and making the necessary adjustments in an effective manner." said Earl Diamond, CEO of Avianor Inc.
