The aim of the workshop is to strengthen existing collaborative relationships in the field of biofuel and to discover new areas of potential collaboration.

“We are very pleased to note the diversity of organizations represented at this workshop,” says NRC Vice President of Life Sciences, Dr. Roman Szumski.

Workshop participants represent the airline industries in Canada, the United States and Europe; as well Canadian and United States governments, universities and Canadian provinces.

A collaborative research project is already underway between the United States Department of Energy and the Government of Canada (via the National Bioproducts Program); with results from this project contributing to the objectives of the Canada-US Clean Energy Dialogue.
