Aviationl eaders to convene in for Airports Canada 2011
Feb. 24, 2011, Ottawa - The Canadian Airports Council on Wednesday advised that registration is open for the Airports Canada 2011 Conference & Exhibition April 19-21 in Ottawa.
Organized in conjunction with Washington-based Airports Council International-North America, Airports Canada is the largest Canadian content conference for senior airport executives, vendors and government officials from around North America and the world.
"As Canada's economy steered out of the recent recession, traffic at many Canadian airports in 2010 returned to record levels," said CAC Chairman and Interim President Bill Restall. "While the skies are clearer, many challenges remain. Canadian airports increasingly find themselves competing with a lower cost structure across the border while continued economic malaise impacts many of Canada's biggest partners for trade and tourism. Airports Canada 2011 is an opportunity for airport leaders to reflect on these challenges and prepare for the two years ahead."
Themed "Piloting through Clearer Skies," Airports Canada 2011 will feature the following panels and sessions:
Piloting through Clearer Skies: Putting the Canadian Footing into Global Context
Canada's Tourism Future in a World of Emerging Tourist Markets
Improving the Passenger Experience
Canada's Aviation Competitiveness
Leadership, Culture and Canada's Labour Pool
Making it Work: Working with our Partner Agencies and Service Providers
Sponsorship opportunities are available for organizations involved in the airports sector. Information on sponsorships and registration are available on the CAC (www.cacairports.ca/english/meetings_events ) and ACI Web sites (www.aci-na.org/conferences )
