As a new Sales Account Manager and principle member of the Becker Avionics sales team, Floyd will develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to expand and capture the fixed-wing market, as well as focus on strengthening existing and future Becker Avionics dealer relationships.

Floyd Roney comes to Becker Avionics with over 30 years of aviation experience and was most recently with EMS Aviation as Channel Sales Manager where he was in charge of a dealer and distribution network of 166 accounts throughout a 13-state territory. Floyd has previously held key positions as National Sales Manager for EDMO Distributors Inc. and later for Kannad Aviation as the Director of North American Sales. He brings solid avionics experience, including complex avionics installations, engineering, regulatory compliance and sales.

Floyd is a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served as the Director of Maintenance Training, Superintendent for Maintenance Programs and a Director of Weapons Test Programs for the Rockwell International B-1B bomber program. After eighteen years in the military Floyd retired and began his civilian career in aviation sales.

“We are very excited to have talent such as Floyd join Becker US and I feel confident that he will make an immediate impact, commented Markus Schmitz, President and General Manager for Becker Avionics Inc.“ He continued, “Floyd’s background as a pilot, mechanic and sales leader, coupled with an excellent track record in customer satisfaction, will further strengthen our brand in the marketplace. His experience, integrity and technical skills are ideally suited to working with both end-user customers, major completion centers and aircraft OEMs and we look forward to having him on the team.”
