April 22, 2014, Chicago – Boeing today named Ursula English as vice president of its Environment, Health and Safety organization. She will be responsible for leading the company's workplace safety programs and its efforts to improve the environmental performance of Boeing products, services and global operations.

Effective April 25, English will report to John Tracy, Boeing chief technology officer and senior vice president of Engineering, Operations & Technology. English, 48, replaces Kim Smith, who was recently named vice president of Attack Helicopter Programs for Boeing Defense, Space & Security.

English brings essential manufacturing and supplier management experience to the Environment, Health and Safety leadership role, Tracy said.

"Ursula's wide range of expertise working with business partners, stakeholders and suppliers will serve to enhance Boeing's ongoing commitment to a zero-injury workplace and continuous improvement in our company's environmental performance," Tracy said.
