Bombardier completes acquisition of Berlin service centre
January 4, 2021 By Wings Staff

Bombardier today announced the completion of its previously announced acquisition of all issued and outstanding shares it did not previously own of Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services based in Berlin, Germany.
Bombardier purchased these shares from Lufthansa Technik AG and ExecuJet Aviation Group AG, as the Montreal plane maker now establishes a wholly-owned service centre in Berlin.
Located at Berlin Brandenburg Airport, the service centre has provided MRO services to Bombardier business aircraft customers since 1997. At more than 160,000 square feet (15,000 square metres), the facility includes 240 employees providing maintenance and support for business jets based in Europe, Russia, Africa and the Middle East.
