CAE names Lewis to key training position

Dec. 10, 2012, Dubai, U.A.E. - CAE announced today on the eve of the Middle East Business Aviation (MEBA) conference that Robert H. Lewis was named Vice President and General Manager of its global Business Aviation, Helicopter and Maintenance Training business unit.

The organization combines three complementary business areas in a market-focused alignment.

Lewis has a multi-faceted business aviation experience, encompassing over the past decade international aircraft operations management, maintenance and avionics support, and staff training. He most recently led the growth of Pentastar Aviation as CEO and President of the privately owned U.S. aircraft operating company, MRO and FBO operator. Previously he was President of Everest Fuel Management, an aviation contract fuel provider, and Vice President Supply for Sentient Jet Inc., a leading U.S. private aviation company. Lewis has implemented more than two dozen significant partnerships or joint ventures with aircraft manufacturers, service providers and suppliers in several countries around the globe.

Lewis is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in physics, and served as a U.S. Navy nuclear submarine officer. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree in finance and economics from Columbia University's Graduate School of Business. Lewis is an active instrument-rated private pilot and aircraft owner.
