Canadian North renews agrrement with Kitikmeot Inuit Association

Dec. 23, 2010, Cambridge Bay, Nunavut - Canadian North is proud to announce the Kitikmeot Inuit Association’s approval of a new Passenger and Cargo agreement for 2011.

Special airfares currently available to the Kitikmeot Inuit Association for corporate travel will now be extended to all Beneficiaries in the region for both business and personal travel, effective immediately.

“Canadian North looks forward to a continued strong relationship with the Kitikmeot Inuit Association and to supporting the travel needs of the Kitikmeot communities,” states Tracy Medve, President of Canadian North. “To further address our commitment to this very important region, Canadian North will be recruiting for a Passenger Sales Manager to be based in Cambridge Bay in early 2011.”

Kitikmeot Inuit Association Employees and Beneficiaries will also benefit from special shipping rates for items like snow machines and ATVs.

"The Kitikmeot Inuit Association is pleased to provide the Kitikmeot Beneficiaries with this discount,” said Mr. Charlie Evalik, President of the Kitikmeot Inuit Association. “KIA and Canadian North are seeking ways to reduce the cost of travelling for our Beneficiaries and this is an important step by entering into an agreement with Canadian North.”
