Cavalier Aviation Ltd. has become Cessna Aircraft’s newest Authorized Service Facility and Parts Distributor for Calgary and area. After more than nine months of applications, interviews and financial scrutiny, Cavalier has been awarded Service Facility status for the full line of all propeller aircraft ever produced by the Cessna Aircraft Co.

Cessna has an extensive application process that potential applicants must fill out and qualify for including a complete business plan, financial history, business history, staff qualifications and training, letters of recommendation from current customers and suppliers, sufficient insurance coverage and the purchase of a complete set of tooling, manuals and inventory for the aircraft to be supported. Cavalier started this process in January of 2008 and was awarded the contract, Oct. 22, 2008 for Single Engine (including the new 350 and 400), Multi Engine, Turboprop and Caravan based on its comprehensive application and potential in Calgary and area.

Cavalier’s current market for service is anyone owning a Cessna product in the category of propeller driven, including AMO’s and operators who want to purchase genuine Cessna parts. Cavalier can handle warranty claims for any owners of new Cessnas, which is where it expects most of its new business to come from.

Cavalier is also an authorized Garmin Service Center and instrument rated AMO for those who want to update their older Cessna aircraft with new avionics or have warranty claims and recertifications done on their new G1000 models. The facility has a full service sheet metal shop for larger projects including insurance repairs.

Cavalier is located at Springbank Airport (YBW), 10 kms west of Calgary, just north of Highway 1, in the Municipal District of Rocky View No.44.
