CBAA ratifies new board in Calgary

The Canadian Business Aviation Association kicked off its annual convention taking place in Calgary, AB, until July 11 by ratifying its 2019 board of directors. Founded in 1961, the CBAA operates under the mandate of promoting and simplifying business aviation for more than 400 members across Canada.

From its Annual General Meeting in Calgary, directors who will serve a further two-year term to 2021 include: Peter Bing, Sobeys Inc.; Gary Wood, Flying Colours; Jean Christopher Gallagher, Bombardier; Lisa Clarke, FlightSafety; and Ehsan Monfared, YYZlaw.

Two directors will be serving a two-year term to 2021, including Jacqueline Bailey, Sterling/ICFS Aviation Group, and new board member David Arbon, Canadian Utilities.

Returning for the second year of their current term are Ivano Mosca, Innotech-Execaire Aviation Group; Ian Darnley, Sunwest Aviation; Lyn Shinn, Skyservice Business Aviation; and Paul Carter, Skycharter Limited.

The 2019/2020 executive committee includes past chair, Rod Barnard, KAL Tire; chair, Peter Bing, Sobeys; vice chair James Elian, AirSprint; treasurer Scott Harrold, Sky Aviation International and EVO Jet Services; and newly appointed board secretary, Aime O’Connor, CBAA.
