CHC Safety Summit fast approaching

March 15, 2011, Vancouver – Only three weeks remain before aviation
leaders land in Vancouver for the CHC Safety & Quality Summit.
The Summit – operating under this year's theme of Corporate Responsibility vs. Personal Accountability – will take place March 28 – 30, 2011 at the Westin Bayshore Resort & Marina in Vancouver, B.C., Canada.
The Summit will include approximately 70 sessions examining this year's theme, including a featured debate.
"We have been able to organize a schedule that features many of the brightest minds in aviation safety," said Greg Wyght, Vice President, Safety and Quality for CHC Helicopter. "We feel our 2011 agenda, aimed at improving safety in aviation globally through excellence in human factors, will give all attendees valuable insight into the latest practices that they can implement in their own companies."
Graham Braithwaite, Director of the Cranfield Safety and Accident Investigation Centre, will be joined by risk expert Tony Kern and aviation correspondent John Nance in a discussion exploring the theme of Corporate Responsibility vs. Personal Accountability. Scott Shappell of Human Factors Analysis and Classification System Inc. (HFACS) will serve as the debate's facilitator.
Now in its seventh consecutive year, the Summit is an internationally recognized conference aimed at improving safety in aviation globally through excellence in human factors.
The Summit is hosted by CHC Helicopter, one of the world's largest providers of civilian search and rescue services and transportation for the global offshore oil gas industry. CHC has over 250 aircraft operating in some 30 countries worldwide.
