EMS honours Midcoast Aviation and V. Kelner Pilatus

Oct. 19, 2010, Atlanta, Ga. – EMS Aviation recently announced at the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Conference that it will honour Midcoast Aviation as its Inmarsat Dealer of the Year and V. Kelner Pilatus Centre / Pilatus Centre Canada, as its Iridium Dealer of the Year.

Oct. 19, 2010, Atlanta, Ga. – EMS Aviation, a division of EMS Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: ELMG), recently
announced at the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Conference that it will honour
Midcoast Aviation as its Inmarsat Dealer of the Year and V. Kelner Pilatus Centre / Pilatus Centre
Canada, as its Iridium Dealer of the Year.

Presented annually, the EMS awards recognize excellence in customer service commitment, technical
expertise and demonstrated sales performance over a given year. EMS will honor the recipients at a
special celebration on Wednesday, Oct. 20, in the EMS Aviation Booth at the Georgia World Congress
Center in Atlanta.

“We are fortunate to have a strong and growing network of dealers and operators who play a critical role
in leveraging EMS Aviation’s connectivity solutions to the business jet market,” notes Nim Evatt, EMS
Aviation’s vice president and general manager. “Both Midcoast Aviation and Pilatus Centre Canada have
been strong proponents of EMS solutions. They understand customer needs and have the experience,
training and ability to tackle any project.”

Both companies, selected from more than 100 EMS dealers worldwide, welcomed the news of being
selected for EMS Aviation Dealer of the Year. “Midcoast is pleased to accept the 2010 Inmarsat Dealer of
the Year award,” says Blake Hogge, senior director for Modification & Maintenance Sales at Midcoast
Aviation. “Midcoast and EMS have worked together on specific requirements from some demanding
customers, and delivered on our promises. When we search for avionics manufacturers to recommend to
customers, we never hesitate to recommend EMS’s solutions.”

“Pilatus Centre Canada is honored to receive recognition for our technical expertise and customer service
focus,” says Robert Arnone, Pilatus Centre Canada CEO. “We take care of about 10 percent of the
Pilatus PC-12 global fleet of aircraft, and are proud to have installed an EMS Forté phone system on the
1,000th Pilatus PC-12 off the line, earlier this year. We look to EMS Aviation to continue offering
