Esterline Corp. has named Gregory (Greg) Yeldon to the position of president of its subsidiary Esterline CMC Electronics Inc. (CMC), effective Aug. 13, 2009.

Aug. 19, 2009, Montreal – Esterline Corp. has named Gregory (Greg) Yeldon to the position of president of its subsidiary Esterline CMC Electronics Inc. (CMC), effective Aug. 13, 2009.

Yeldon has more than 23 years of operational experience in the aerospace sector, including 14 years as CMC’s vice-president and CFO.  He has also been serving as interim president of the company since November 2008. His first position with the company was corporate comptroller in 1995. He has served on the board of directors for CMC Electronics Inc. and CMC Electronics Holdings Inc. from 2001 to 2007.

Esterline CEO Robert W. Cremin said, “Greg’s in-depth business acumen and knowledge of CMC Electronics products, markets, customers and employees make him particularly well suited to provide continuity and leadership at the helm of Esterline CMC Electronics.”

Prior to joining CMC, Yeldon held a variety of positions with the aerospace companies, Leigh Instruments and Micronav International.  He received a Commerce degree in 1982 from Carleton University and began his career at Peat Marwick, where he obtained his chartered accountant designation.  He became a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1985.
