ExelTech Aerospace Inc.  (TSXV:XLT) says it will provide heavy maintenance and overhaul services for two Bombardier-made Dash 8-200 regional aircraft being acquired by SATA Air Acores, the Portuguese regional carrier based in the Azores Archipelago.

ExelTech, an airframe maintenance, repair, and overhaul company based in Montreal, said it won the contract in an international competition against other MRO providers in North America and Europe.

"ExelTech came highly recommended, bringing a strong track record on Dash-8 heavy maintenance,''  Pedro Viveiros, maintenance and engineering director of SATA Air Acores, said in a statement.

"These first two Dash-8s will be incorporated into our operations later this spring, followed by the first of the Dash-8 Q400s next year; our schedule and quality requirements demand the highest standards and on-time delivery.''
