FAI Mamaia World Elite Aerobatic Formula – 10-12th July 2009

Regional Air Services of Tuzla Airfield hosts this summer, on 10-12th July a spectacular aerobatic competition: FAI Mamaia World Elite Aerobatic Formula. The event takes place by the famous Mamaia beach on Romanian seacoast – near Constanta and is the first aerobatic event ever organized in Romania under FAI aegis (Fédération Aéronautique Internationale).
FAI Mamaia World Elite Aerobatic Formula is a high level sport event, a high-class, fashionable and entertaining event, recommending to a huge audience values like challenge and imagination, sensational exercises, high human and technical performance, precision and passion.
The FAI sport code and the competition structure stimulate performances without putting at risk the pilots’ safety.
FAI Mamaia World Elite Aerobatic Formula aims at maximizing the creative potential of the best aerobatic pilots in the world, imposing new rules and exigent procedures, approved by both, FAI and Jurgis Kayris. EAF – Elite Aerobatics Formula is a unique type of aerobatic competition previously known as "JK Formula" and used at the Al Ain Aerobatic Competition over the last two years. This way, the event offers to aerobatic aircraft manufactures a platform to demonstrate the performances of their designed aircraft.
The competition “FAI – Mamaia World Elite Aerobatic Formula” consists of two parts: aerobatic against time (AAT) and aerobatics freestyle (AF).
At this time following pilots are expected to join :
Ramon Alonso from Spain – overall World Champion 2007, the winner of Aerobatic Formula in Al Ain UAE
Eric Vazeille from France – overall World Champion 2000- Svetlana Kapanina from Russia – five times World Champion
Hubie Tolson from USA – National Champion
Tom Cassel from U.K. – National Champion
The well-known Zoltan Veres – from Hungary
And a pilot from the Organizer (Regional Air Services).
“Mamaia – World Elite Aerobatic Formula” will be attended by top pilots from Romanian and international aviation. In order to have a more attractive schedule for the specialists and the large public, the competition alternates with shows.
FAI Mamaia World Elite Aerobatic Formula entered in the competition timetable of this summer. As in the previous year, the organizer counts on the help of the Municipal Council of Constanta, the District Council and the support of important media partners from Romania and abroad.
