Under the auspices of the arrangement the Canadian completions company will be responsible for promoting and selling ViaSat’s VMT-1500 shipset to its global client base. The system enables aircraft to use ViaSat Yonder® high-speed Internet service for aircraft, and will take Flying Colours Corp.’s communication offering to a whole new level. The system is the lightest, smallest-footprint Ku-band terminal for high-speed Internet access via satellite to aircraft and operates on ViaSat’s near global satellite network. It provides the fastest Internet connectivity available along the world’s busiest air routes, and enables true office-in-the-sky functionality.

Eric Gillespie, Executive Vice-President for Flying Colours Corp commented, “This is an important agreement for us as it means we can continue to offer our clients the best in-flight connectivity and communication options available.”

The agreement follows Flying Colours Corp.’s first committed installation of the ViaSat VMT-1500 system on a Bombardier CRJ ExecLiner conversion underway at its Peterborough facility. “Our client is looking forward to having this state-of-the-art communications option installed on his aircraft as it provides a solution to his requirement for continuous global connectivity,” continued Gillespie.

”Flying Colours opens a new segment of the business aviation market to ViaSat,” said Don Buchman, ViaSat director of mobile broadband. “The company enjoys a well-deserved reputation for innovation in equipping business aircraft with the latest communications technology.”
