Granger joins Navtech

July 2, 2009, Toronto – Navtech, Inc. has named travel industry veteran Lee Granger as vice-president, product marketing.  In her new role, she will set and implement strategy for global external communications, product development and management.
 
“I’m delighted to have an executive of Lee’s caliber taking on this pivotal role, especially as we’re aligning more closely with our customers,” said Mike Hulley, Navtech president and CEO.  “Lee’s experience and passion for success are coming to Navtech at just the right time.”
 
Granger comes to Navtech from her own travel business consultancy, The Granger Group, LLC, where she consulted with a variety of travel-industry companies, in the areas of strategic planning, competitive analysis, organizational structure, marketing, public relations, and training curriculum development. Prior to starting The Granger Group, LLC, Granger was SVP, marketing and operations for the travel technology startup company, LeisureLogixtm.  Prior to that, she spent 12 years with the American Automobile Association (AAA) in several senior management roles, including managing director of Travel Technology and Data Management. In that role, Granger created and oversaw the execution for an Association-wide travel strategy focused on product development, travel eCommerce, various technology solutions, and data management/analysis. Granger was managing director, marketing in a prior role where she guided AAA’s brand management, marketing, promotion, marketing analytics and internet promotion endeavors.
 
Prior to AAA, Granger held significant roles at Carlson Travel Group, a global leader in travel, including Director, Leisure Strategy Development.
 
Granger has served on a number of travel industry advisory boards and committees. She holds an executive MBA certificate from the Minnesota Management Institute at the University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree in management from Louisiana State University.  She is currently matriculating toward her MBA at Florida State University.  She also has earned her CTC and CTIE from The Travel Institute.
