HAI Extension of 2010 ‘Salute to Excellence’ Award

Oct. 21, 2009, Alexandria, VA – The 2010 “Salute to Excellence” Awards Call for Nominations deadline has been extended to Thursday, November 12, 2009. HAI Members and nonmembers will now have more time to submit nominations and signed acknowledgment forms for one or more of the nine prestigious awards.
 
For nearly 50 years, HAI has celebrated the outstanding achievements and exceptional merits of individuals and organizations through the “Salute to Excellence” awards program.

Winners of the 2010 series will be recognized at the “Salute to Excellence” banquet, to be held on Monday, February 22 during HELI-EXPO 2010 in Houston, Texas.
 
HAI will present nine “Salute to Excellence” awards recognizing contributions made to advance the international helicopter community. By acknowledging exceptional individuals or organizations, the “Salute to Excellence” celebration encourages continued achievement in attaining the highest standards of professionalism in the helicopter industry.
 
The simplest way to submit a nomination is to complete an online 2010 Nomination Form on HAI’s Web site, www.rotor.com. You may also download a 2010 Call for Nominations brochure and mail a completed Nomination Form to Helicopter Association International, 1635 Prince Street, Alexandria, Virginia 22314-2818, or fax it to 703-683-4745. Supporting documents including awards, letters of recommendation, and newspaper and magazine articles that relate to your nomination will aid consideration in the selection process. These items must be suitable for photocopying, and can either be mailed, faxed, or scanned and sent as an e-mail attachment to rotor@rotor.com.
 
HAI requires all nominees to acknowledge in writing that they are aware of their nomination and, if selected, that they would be willing to share biographical information and photos with HAI, as well as accept the award in person at the “Salute to Excellence” banquet. If the recipient is unable to attend the banquet, they must designate a person to accept the award on their behalf. An Acknowledgment Form is available in the 2010 Call for Nominations brochure online.
