“Adding our first private flight school to the Jazz APP is an exciting and logical step in the evolution of the program. The addition of Ottawa Aviation Services, and its Integrated Airline Transport Pilot Licence program, provides a unique and exciting opportunity for Canadians to start a rewarding career as a professional pilot at Jazz,” said Steve Linthwaite, vice president, flight operations, Jazz.

This agreement is the first of its kind between Jazz and OAS. The Jazz APP is aimed at establishing a direct career path for qualifying graduates and the opportunity for OAS’s top-performing Canadian Integrated Airline Transport Pilot Licence (iATPL) Program graduates to transition to first officer positions at Jazz.

The industry-leading Jazz APP program and Ottawa Aviation Services agreement also includes collaboration on training and curriculum to promote safety and professionalism, while providing relevant information on industry best practices.

“Ottawa Aviation Services is pleased to be the first private flight school in the Jazz APP program. This relationship will establish a direct career path for our qualifying iATPL graduates into Canada’s largest regional airline,” said Cedric Paillard, CEO and president, OAS. “Our selection to the Jazz APP program speaks to the quality of the pilot training we provide and the professional pilots we graduate. Our inclusion in the Jazz APP further delivers on our vision of an aviation job for every graduate.”
