Jim Little joins Porter Airlines board of directors

Donald Carty, Chairman, Porter Airlines Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of James Little to its Board of Directors.

"We're fortunate to have Jim join the Board during this period of growth at Porter," said Carty. "The company is maturing and new perspectives at the Board level will be increasingly important as we consolidate our position as a distinct choice for passengers."

Jim Little is Chief Brand and Communications Officer for Royal Bank of Canada, responsible for growing and protecting RBC's brand and aligning its global marketing activities. Prior to joining RBC, Mr. Little served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Marketing at BCE/Bell where he and his team delivered award-winning marketing programs.

In 2006, he was named Canadian Marketer of the Year by Strategy Magazine and "Best of" by the Canadian Marketing Association.

Mr. Little has held a number of senior executive posts including, Vice President of Communications and Marketing at Bombardier Aerospace, Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Alcan Aluminum and Vice President and General Manager at GPC – an Omnicom Company.        

Mr. Little plays an active role in the community, having served on numerous boards and cabinets including the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation, the RBC Foundation, Pathways to Education, the Public Policy Forum and the Toronto International Film Festival.

"The airline industry is exciting and challenging from overall business and marketing perspectives," said Little. "I'm looking forward to contributing to Porter's continuing development as part of the Board."
