Provide administrative support on all Human Resources functions, services, programs and projects and contribute to the attainment of specific goals and results of the HR department and the organization.

  • Support full-cycle recruitment as per annual manpower plan by sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, conducting preliminary screening, assisting in short listing, issuing employment contracts and performing background checks
  • Correspond and interact with candidates throughout the hiring process in a timely and courteous manner
  • Maintain, prepare, analyze and present recruitment statistics
  • Facilitate on-boarding process, perform orientations and update records with new hires
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars
  • Maintain all human resources related data and employee records (both paper documents and HR database); generate reports and provide analysis as required
  • File documents into appropriate employee files
  • Act as first point of contact on HR related inquiries and requests from employees
  • Liaise with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits, training, etc.)
  • Assist in developing and implementing Human Resource policies and procedures
  • Conduct research on employment laws and legal updates as required
  • Participate in external compensation surveys and assist in annual compensation review processes
  • Assist with processing of performance management measures and terminations
  • Assist with the preparation of the performance review process
  • Perform exit interviews as required
  • Participate in JH&SC meetings and monthly inspections and provide administrative support to the JH&SC
  • File WSIB claims and assist in facilitating early and safe return to work processes
  • Perform a variety of clerical functions: schedule meetings, take meeting minutes, prepare correspondence, make photocopies, mail, scan and email documents; maintain employee bulletin boards, etc.
  • Assist in all department projects and programs
  • Perform all work in accordance with Health and Safety policies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • College diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or relevant field
  • Minimum 1 year proven experience as an HR coordinator or relevant administrative position in Human Resources with strong knowledge of administrative responsibilities
  • Overall knowledge of main Human Resources functions and practices
  • Strong knowledge of applicable employment legislations including Employment Standard Act, Heath & Safety Act, Human Rights Code, etc.
  • Experience with various sourcing tools and social media recruiting
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Highly proficient in using MS Office (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Outlook; experience with HR databases and HRIS systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills;
  • Ability to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of HR operations; ability to proactively follow through on commitments and deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information at all times
  • Positive can do attitude
  • Fluency in Chinese is an asset
