Carry out quality inspections during the production of Diamond products.


· Carry out inspections during the production of Diamond products

· Identify and control non conformances in accordance with the approved procedures

· Coordinate the various inspection programs with other affected departments

· Recommend improved inspection procedures and methods that which would improve the quality and economic efficiency of maintenance

· Ensure all quality records, reports and forms are properly executed before approval

· Accomplish the final release of all parts, assemblies and the airworthiness of articles on which work has been performed, as required

· Oversee the proper tagging and identification of all parts and components as outlined in the QPM

· Provide for continuity of inspection, assuring completion of required inspection when personnel shift or assignment changes occur

· Ensure rejected and unserviceable parts are handled in such a way as to prevent their reuse as serviceable parts

· Perform all work in accordance with Health and Safety policies

· Assist the Quality Assurance department in maintaining the production control and quality assurance systems

· Perform such other work as requested

Required Skills & Experience:

· Minimum 5 years aircraft maintenance/manufacturing experience required

· Technical knowledge of materials and processes used at Diamond Aircraft an asset

· Knowledge and experience with the assembly of Diamond products an asset

· Knowledge and experience in determining the airworthiness of a product

· Knowledge of in-process and final inspection of parts and assemblies

· Experience in reading and interpreting drawings

· Knowledge of Diamond's Production and Quality System an asset

· Proficient in MS Office

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to present ideas and give instructions/guidance to production co-workers

· Ability to prioritize work effectively

· High School diploma
